Versus

This exhibition opens at the end of a research, which investigates the sociological dynamics, from the birth of the cult of the myth, to this day. A look on human affairs, and of those characters that, for better or for worse, have marked the political destiny and the costume of all humanity.

A journey through the recent history, where the common theme is the color, the metaphor that marks on the looks of the protagonists the perennial struggle between the positive and negative energies, as in a parabolic flow between light and shadow. A choice not so

easy where more than ever shape and color celebrate the ancient struggle, in a narrative liturgical painting as language epic that explores the unconscious anti portrait. The main theme is therefore looks that unfold as landscapes of soul, maps that tell us about the existence, the flow of life, the unconscious psychosomatic, filtered by a material and

fast painting, simply essential. The art transcends the shape with the color, which solves any provocation of amenability aesthetics.

In this project supported by Martin and Sebastian Suppan, from the Galerie Suppan Contemporary, we wanted to turn the spotlight on individualism as a reflection on human relationships and on the consciousness of a society increasingly heterogeneous, but complex and difficult for a common goal; the proof is the chronicle of these days. Right on consciousness and its ethical content, you should start reading this shows, above all provocation, and below each iconic landmark, but only there, in that middle ground where art takes charge of the ineffable human, to find a solution, perhaps, or just chasing a dream.

The choice of subjects is not random, but not pretentious or ideological, moving from what they represented and represent, they are those pins that deflect the existence and common everyday life, and it is for this reason that among them there are the characters so-called anonymous, or better said "the man of the street", because it is about them and with them that everything happens.

The painting communicates in a continuity visionary, a tale of a fantastic journey in a non- place, where the characters met them for a suspended moment and subjected to the judgment of history, in that syncretic confusion between good and evil, between celebrity and popularity among tragedy and comedy.... Always VERSUS someone or something.
